Our History

Dr. Gwendolyn Kimbrough, a Developmental Psychologist, established 1Axium, LLC in 2015. The company operates within the Behavioral Health sector, specializing in Medicaid Waiver-related services, healthcare professional management, and research in the fields of Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Suicide prevention, and Opioid prevention and treatment. We cater to both public and private clients.

We believe in a holistic, client-centered treatment that empowers individuals to take control of their mental health and achieve lasting well-being. Our multidisciplinary team of licensed therapists, counselors, and support staff work collaboratively to provide effective, individualized treatment plans. With a focus on resilience and personal growth, we support each client’s journey towards healing in a respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive manner.

We are also dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). With a passion for empowerment and inclusion, we strive to create a supportive environment where each person can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

We understand the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with IDD and their families. That’s why we offer a range of person-centered services tailored to meet each individual’s specific goals and preferences. From in-home support and day habilitation programs to behavioral support services and community integration initiatives, we are committed to delivering high-quality care and support that promotes independence, dignity, and self-determination.
